Job Purpose

You will contribute to a research project working in the Wellcome Centre for Molecular Parasitology [WCMP] within the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation under the supervision of Professor Rick Maizels (Principal Investigator).

Specifically, the job requires good expertise of molecular and cellular biology, genetics and immunology, and practice in the area of helminth cell biology. The prosperous candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.

Standard Terms & Conditions

income will be on the University's Research and Teaching Grade, level 6, £28,660 - £32,236 per annum.

This post has funding for 2 months in the first instance.

New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.

The prosperous applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. more information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation agent, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
