We are recruiting an Undergraduate Admissions agent to join our central Admissions team which handles around 30,000 undergraduate and foundation programme applications, primarily through UCAS. Our Admissions agents are assigned either to the Undergraduate or Postgraduate team but are expected to work flexibly across team boundaries to ensure that candidates receive a consistently good service during peak times.
The ideal candidate will have recent substantial practice of working in an administrative function supporting the admission of students, ideally in a central admissions team in higher education. practice of offer-making under delegated authority from academic departments will be an advantage.
You will be an enthusiastic and flexible individual who is equally capable of working independently and as a member of team. You will be well-organised, able to prioritise, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining accuracy. You will be IT literate, with practice of using complex databases in an academic context, and have excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication expertise. You will be capable of carrying out tasks and making decisions consistently within a clear policy and regulatory framework, referring to managers only in complex cases.
The post will be a full time and permanent appointment. Starting income will be £34,220 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in conformity with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points located Immigration Scheme.
