The School of Medicine Faculty Education Office are looking for an practiced AV specialist to supervise audio-visual facilities in teaching rooms on two campuses, and all aspects of delivering remote recordings of teaching sessions recordings for undergraduate, postgraduate and short courses in the Faculty of Medicine (FoM) across four campuses.
this function is pivotal to the delivery of front-line, on-campus support to our staff and students and supporting everyday teaching activities.
Core tasks and responsibilities
As the Senior AV Technician, you will:
   » ensure that all our teaching spaces are set up and ready for teaching, as well as make sure all teaching events are video recorded and available to view online
   » take part in scoping user requirements for new AV facilities, contact with external suppliers and supervise refurbishment of the current teaching rooms
   » will manage a team of two and will provide guidance and support in their work
Essential requirements
   » A-Level standard or equivalent vocational qualifications
   » Substantial practice of audio-visual systems and facilities management, or a similar significant function
   » practice of Panopto or equivalent video capture system
   » capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
   » Strong customer service expertise and interpersonal expertise
   » Effective problem-solving capcapability and capability to exercise judgement
   » Self-motivated, pro-active and enthusiastic, adaptable and flexible approach
   » A highly methodical and accurate approach to work with exceptionally close attention to detail.
   » capability to manage projects such as minor refurbishment works or software upgrades

This is a full-time, open-ended contract.
