Bournemouth University is seeking an practiced, innovative and creative professional to manage the exploitation and commercialisation of intellectual property (IP) arising from the institution's growing portfolio of research.
The new position of Research Commercialisation Manager will have responsibility for identifying IP, managing BU's portfolio of disclosures, prioritising projects for institutional support for commercialisation (including market evaluation) and managing central policies and processes.
You will be expected to prioritise IP exploitation arising from Bournemouth University's Strategic Investment Areas - Assistive Technology; Animation, Simulation & Visualisation, Medical Science and Sustaincapability, Low Carbon Technology & Materials science - with a view to accelerating the societal and economic impact of Bournemouth University's research.
Expert expertise and demonstrable practice of routes to prosperous research commercialisation including licensing and spin-outs is essential, as are the expertise and attributes which will ensure that you effectively manage our portfolio of IP and maximise commercialisation opportunities for the benefit of society.
