The School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics is seeking a Lecturer or adjunct Professor in Cyber Security and/or Computer Systems.
The Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing at Coventry University is one of the largest in the UK and is nationally and internationally renowned as a centre of innovation for its teaching, learning and research of computing subject areas. The School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics is one of three schools within the faculty and has a very prosperous suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The school is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of teaching and research. We offer undergraduate degrees in Business Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity, Games Technology and Multimedia Computing. Our postgraduate courses include Data Science and Computational Intelligence, Computer Science, Network and Forensic Computing.

We are interested in expanding our cyber security and computer systems teaching team, particularly in the following areas:

It is expected that this position will focus on the more technical areas of the subject though an knowledge of other aspects of cyber security and computer science is essential.
You will be responsible for the delivery and support of learning, teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will work closely with the course teams to help provide the high-quality learning environment our students expect.
Candidates with a strong research record who are in a position to be returned at the next REF may be supported in their research through one of the Universities Research Centres, in particular, the new Research Centre in Data Science and High Performance Computing which is strongly linked to the School.
candidates should hold a post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related subject. Professional qualification and/or membership and a PhD. practice of working in higher education will be very useful and good programming expertise required.
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student practice that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything you do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of your area of specialisation.
