We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual earnings of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.
We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide variety of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

We require a friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Trusts Hotel Services Team.
Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and the provision of food. As a housekeeper you will work as part of the housekeeping team to provide a clean, safe supportive environment in which patients can recuperate.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about patient care putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to be able to think on the spot and be empathetic. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
The post holder will be located at Roseberry Park Hospital, and will be required to work shifts between the hours of 7.00 am - 6.00 pm including weekends.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible and willing to work at short notice. practice in cleaning tasks and use of chemicals and equipment are essential as you will be working in a demanding environment. Also any catering and food service practice would be appreciated along with a passion to providing high standards of customer service.
Candidates must possess NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping or be willing to works towards in an agreed timescale and Level two Food Hygiene certificate as well as being able to demonstrate commitment to undertake further training and qualifications. You are also required to be IT literate.
The capability to work with significant client groups all over the Trust, i.e. learning disabilities and mental health is essential
Post available: 16 hours x 7 fixed term for 12 months
In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the prosperous applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.
