The School of Engineering & Innovation invites applications for a fully-funded, full-time PhD studentship in the area of groundwater flood resilience and community engagement. This studentship is funded by Buckinghamshire Council as part of their £7.3m Defra-funded project, GRACE.

The studentship will commence on 1 October 2022 and will cover full-time fees, a stipend (£15,609 for the 2021-2022 academic year), and an allowance for research expenditure.
The prosperous candidate will be located at The Open University's campus in Milton Keynes, UK, which combines a friendly and flexible working environment with well-resourced laboratories and workshops. Situated on the Oxford-Cambridge corridor, and just over half an hour's train journey from London, Milton Keynes is a well-connected, modern town with a population of around 250,000.
