Offer: PhD Studentship in Creative Industries:Job description:Qualification Type: PhD Description The University of Gloucestershire's School of Creative Industries is dedicated to broadening the range of voices heard in British culture (especially perspectives that are often marginalized) and to critically examining the functions of the creative industries. To that end, we invite applications to apply for our new studentship position,starting on 01/03/2022,whichwill be allied to one of ourresearch priorities, currently configured and shaped around the themeof ? Under-represented voices in the Creative Industries '. This may focus on age, gender, race or ethnicity and can be a creative practice as research or theoretical/applied research. We are therefore keen to hear proposals from community film makers, digital story practitioners and cultural studies and popular music studies students.Located within theSchool of Creative Industries at The University of Gloucestershire the studentship offers the chance to work within a network of researchers working across disciplinary boundaries, foregrounding critical, creative and applied modes of research.We are especially interested in interdisciplinarity and are keen to hear from candidates who are attracted to working in a collaborative expertise exchange context. This opportunity to provide funding for a PhD student working in the specific field of?Under-represented voices in the Creative Industries' not only allows us to support them as an individual but provides the school with the opportunity to expose our wider student body to important new work in this field as it develops. The prosperous applicant will contribute to the support and education of undergraduate and postgraduate taught students through practical technical demonstration in their specialist field, guest lectures and seminars and, if appropriate, a mentoring function with student filmmakers/musicians. candidates must have a BA Hons of at least 2.1 standard or equivalent and a Masters' Degree in a significant discipline.
