Job Offer: Registry Systems Developer:Job description:Job location: Ayr, Lanark, Paisley Paisley/Lanarkshire or Ayr with travel to other campuses as needed 2 Posts, Full time, Permanent Working within the Registry Systems Team, you will deliver technical skills to continually improve, develop and support the core systems which support the Student practice. You will work to ensure the core system (Ellucian Banner) is working as expected, is fit for purpose, and maintained through upgrades and regular business. This ensures delivery of core services including Admissions, Enrolment, Progressions, Change of Decisions, Graduations, etc. Where the baseline product requires modification to mee the needs of UWS, you will work closely with colleagues within Registry and the wider University to gather requirements, build solutions, test and implement custom code. This development improves the services offered by the products Registry use. As a Registry Systems Developer, you will work in a constantly evolving environment, due to technological advances and the strategic direction of the organisation. You will plan and implement the life cycle of software developments. Create, maintain, audit, and improve systems to meet needs, often as advised by the Senior Registry Digital Manager and Head of Registry. You will test software systems to diagnose and resolve system faults. You will be the expert in your field and make recommendations for future developments and transformations of the tools and systems in use.
