Enjoy working in the hospitality industry but want better employee benefits?
In this function you will benefit from a generous annual leave entitlement, which includes a break encompassing the UEA (University of East Anglia) closure periods across the Christmas and New Year, and during Easter.
The Campus Kitchen is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated duty manager to support the front of house team, helping drive sales in our outlets, and providing day-to-day management and superviseing of business operations.
Duty Managers are required to supervise the everyday management of 12 outlets including our delivered catering service, covering a wide variety of concepts from our barista coffee shops to an on-trend street food outlet. You'll be great with people and will know how to resolve those sticky situations, and you will also be able to provide great customer service for every service style! The function requires a quick thinker who is able to make carefully judged decisions during busy service periods, but also enjoys being involved in longer term projects within the business and wider university.
You will be required to provide day-to-day reactive management of operations, team, stock management, outlet presentation, food safety, health & safety and delivery of outstanding customer service.
Previous practice in a duty management function is essential, along with practice of working in a customer focused environment and commercial consciousness.
The position will include some early evening and weekend work, working 5 days out of 7 with time off over the Christmas and Easter periods (extra time off outside of annual leave entitlement). There are no split shifts; you will only be required to work later hours on very limited occasions and weekend shifts are worked on a rota basis
What are the benefits of working for UEA?
As well as a commitment to paying the real living wage for all staff, and working for a business that cares and supports the mental health and wellbeing of their personnel, you will also benefit from:
» 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and University Customary days.
»Family and Work-life balance policies including considerable maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and adoption leave.
» Generous pension scheme with life cover for dependents, plus incapacity cover.
»Health and Wellbeing : discounted access to sportspark facilities, relaxation rooms, 320 acres of rolling parkland, wellbeing walks, medical centre, Occupational Health and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme.
»Campus Facilities : sportspark, library, nursery, supermarket, post office, bars and catering outlets.
» Exclusive shopping discounts to help cut the cost of household bills, childcare income sacrifice scheme, Cycle to Work scheme and public transport discounts.
»Personal Development : endlessaccess to LinkedIn Learning courses, specialist advice and training from our Organisational Development and Professional Learning Team.
If you meet all the essential requirements of the person specification, it would be great to hear from you!
