We are now looking for a Principal MIS Data agent to join our team THE function You'll assist in the production and reporting of student and other data. The post holder will work closely with Corporate Services, Registry and Finance, as well as University Institutes and other Professional Services. Reporting to the Executive Systems Development agent, the post holder will lead on at least one technical aspect within the MIS Data team and will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving expertise to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximise the benefit of University data. ABOUT YOU To be considered as a Principal MIS Data agent you will need: » Degree or equivalent professional qualification or broad practice in a significant subject area. » practice of producing data returns and working to deadlines » Familiarity in analysing, amending and extracting data from a relational database, preferably a student records database » Excellent knowledge of SQL and/or similar programming languages » capability to handle high volume data including creating and manipulating detailed spreadsheets and databases » Demonstrate the capability to produce concise and readable management information on complex data or technical issues The following would be beneficial to your function: » Previous practice of working with HE statutory returns » practice in Agile Scrum workload management » An knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Business Reporting. » capability to execute SSRS and PowerBI programming or availability to develop these expertise. » capability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
