A project you will own in which you will apply academic expertise to a real-world, real industry challenge. In short this is an opportunity to fast track your career by managing a strategic project with potential to transform a business. The Project This is a unique opportunity to help revolutionise malt roasting by applying new microwave technology to create sustainable and innovative products, at the same time reducing energy consumption and increasing control of the process. A Unique practice You will gain practice in the highly competitive and innovative Brewing, Distilling and Craft beverage sectors. To build your expertise of the process you will have the opportunity to travel to some of the plants across the Boortmalt group - there are 27 plants across 5 continents. You will be supported all over the project with full access to university resources, along with mentoring to nurture your talent and a £5,000 training budget to develop your skill set. The person We are seeking for • Passionate about delivering novel solutions to commercial challenges • Driven and resilient to lead the project • Curious to question and understand • Collaborative - with the skills to engage and work closely with the operational sites, academics and other stakeholders. The skills we need • practice in delivering prosperous industrial / research projects • A degree in Chemical/Materials/Processing/Food Engineering or other significant area • practice of high temperature processes is desirable.
