Job Summary - East Devon District Council are recruiting a Corporate Engagement Graduate Business Partner to provide the corporate direction and support on all matters relating to engagement with the local community (residents, groups, businesses, tenants, councillors', and staff) and run all consultation exercises on behalf of the council via the use of the Commonplace engagement tool. this function is part of the Graduate Business Partnership and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) from March 2024 for 12 months. About You - You should be a graduate who has graduated from a significant degree e.g social policy or research, who has good verbal and written communication expertise, an capability to explain complex issues in a simple manner, good note taking, attention to detail and interpretation expertise, and excellent IT expertise. You should have the capability to analyse problems to understand root causes and design and test systematic solutions, the capability to collect, analyse and interpret data (with support and training), and to demonstrate a keenness to understand the issues faced by local residents', tenants, businesses and visitors. You should be problem focused, have the capability to manage and cope with change, be motivated to improve results for communities, and be flexible and adaptable andadaptablein the face of unexpected circumstances. You should also have confidence and tact to develop effective working relationships representing East Devon District Council with partners and stakeholders from a wide variety of backgrounds and organisations., and have the capability to agree, organise and deliver a realisticworkload, resolving conflicting prioritieswhere needed.You should also have expertise of community development and engagement techniques, the law in relation to consultation and data protection, and have prior practice in data input and using of using social media as a promotional and communications tool.
