The University of Chichester is looking to recruit new Specialist Study expertise Tutors to support students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at the University.
You will provide non-subject specific, specialist study expertise support to students, assisting them to develop appropriate expertise and strategies that will enable them to become independent learners.
The Specialist Study expertise Tutors will work with students to create an Independent Learning Plan and will have regular one-to-one meetings, preparing individualised resources in advance and documenting progress. You will work closely with other members of the team, referring students to appropriate areas of the Discapability and Dyslexia Services team or wider Students, Support and Information Services team in conformity with internal referral guidance/protocol.
This post requires candidates to meet the Department for Education (DfE) mandatory criteria for Specialist Study expertise and Strategy Support - SpLDs support for Disabled Student Allowance (DSA)-funded Non-Medical Helper functions.
