We are currently looking for an practiced Senior Scientist to join our Polio LaboratoryFunction within the Science Research and Innovationgroup. Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: To lead research and development programs aimed at improving methods and analytical algorithms to detect and characterize polio and non-polio enteroviruses, as well as other viruses connected with human disease such as SARS-CoV-2, from surveillance activities. Coordinate R&D programs such as knowledge long-term virus infection in immunodeficient patients as well as the identification of anti-viral compounds to eliminate virus replication from patients suffering from enterovirus-connected neurological disease. The prosperous candidate will have a PhD in a significant field, or equivalent practice with evidence of R&D; an excellent knowledge of the WHO Global Poliovirus. They must also have practice of developing and implementing innovative methodologies and using them to resolve key scientific questions.
