The Faculty of Health, Education and Society are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer to contribute to the Adult Pre-registration BSc Nursing Programme across levels 4, 5 and 6. The prosperous applicant will provide academic input of our Adult and cross field (mental health, learning discapability and children and young people) modules situated in the subject group of pre-registration Nursing.
The prosperous applicant will support the teaching, learning and assessment of pre-registration nursing students both on campus and online via active blended learning. The learner voice and practice will be central to all aspects of course delivery. The post will include that of personal teacher and academic assessor.
The post holder, alongside the programme team, will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes and professional regulatory requirements to support the high-quality delivery of this programme of education.
The post is a 0.6 FTE permanent post, anticipated to be achieved across a 3-day working week of 7.4 hours per day. Days and hours of working can be flexible around teaching and meeting commitments, however teaching days vary across Monday to Friday.

About you
You must be an practiced registered adult nurse or lecturer / senior lecturer who can evidence and demonstrate their capability to work across the pre-registration curriculum at levels 4, 5 and 6
The post ideally requires an individual with practice in the community, private and voluntary sector although practice in all areas of practice is welcomed. An interest in anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology and connected long term conditions would also be of interest.
You will also possess strong communication, digital and organisational expertise.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the NMC student proficiencies and contemporary nursing practice. Previous practice of interaction and teaching and assessment of students would be an advantage although support and development are available.
Qualifications
Essential;
   » significant professional qualification - Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
   » Degree qualification or equivalent in significant subject.
   » Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or availability to obtain within an agreed timescale
Desirable;
   » Master's degree in significant subject or working towards completion within a reasonable period.
   » Doctorate in significant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
