Job Offer: Head of Sustainable Manufacturing:Job description:Job location: Belfast The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre is seeking an innovative leader with passion, skills and practice in sustainable manufacturing to lead development and implementation of the Sustainable Manufacturing and Net Zero strategy for AMIC. We are driving industrial transformation, paving the way for future technologies and competing globally with a more sustainable focus. You will be responsible for developing strategic relationships and partnerships with key technology, industrial, education, government and academic stakeholders, establishing a portfolio of activity to deliver this. The function will seek to identify collaborative research, innovation and knowledge transfer opportunities, to embed sustaincapability and net zero impacts across AMIC and beyond. Joining at a key point in AMIC's development, you will support us to embed sustaincapability into AMIC's own operations, while driving innovation in industry to develop and scale up decarbonisation and sustaincapability - aiming to cultivate a cluster of innovative businesses. The prosperous candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: » Honours degree, equivalent or higher qualification in Manufacturing, Sustaincapability, Engineering, or a related field. » Significant evidence of technical excellence and knowledge of innovation in sustainable manufacturing. » Significant and significant practice in a leadership abilities function within a sustaincapability and/or engineering field, including developing and motivating collaborative project teams to meet financial and programme delivery targets. » Proven track record with recent, significant successes in developing industry and academic stakeholder relationships and delivering high quality, on time, and within budget project results for a range of complex and innovative projects, including at least one complex and large-scale project (£1m+). » Strong and evidenced knowledge of business development principles and practices. » Strong track record in securing or contributing prosperously to R&D secure revenue or funding applications from local, national and international bodies.
