The Design, Trials and Statistics section in the Division of Population Health located in the School of Medicine and Population Health is seeking to recruit a Research adjunct in Medical Statistics who has a passion for statistics (and applied research) and a availability to share their passion, enthusiasm and expertise with others. The post will be located within the Clinical Trials Research Unit (CTRU) and will involve working day-to-day with colleagues within the Medical Statistics Group and with researchers involved in our portfolio of clinical studies. You will also contribute to the research portfolio in the Sheffield Centre for Health and Research, building on your background and interests and be expected to be involved in other Medical Statistics Group activities which include teaching statistics.
You will have good expertise of applied statistics and basic statistical theory, be keen and enthusiastic with a availability to learn, be inquisitive, flexible and able to adapt to change.
With exceptional interpersonal expertise you will communicate effectively with others in the team, including non-statisticians, establishing good working relationships.
The post would suit a recent graduate or someone expecting to graduate from their Master's degree in Statistics in the autumn of 2024.
