About the function
Harrogate College islooking for a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated Electrical Course Leader who will be responsible for a growing number of Electrical Installation students covering Levels 1 to 3.this function will be located in our Tech Centreusingindustry-standard equipment.
We areprogressive and continually strive to work with our district to provide an employer-led curriculum. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment in which all students can develop their knowledge, expertise, and behaviours.
We are willing to consider flexibility surrounding working hours including Full Time, Part Time or Variable Hours Contracts.
What You Will Do
   » You will manage a small, friendly team and the courses that are deliveredin the Electrical Installation Department.
   » You will be responsible for the retention, achievement, and positive progression rates foridentifiedcourses in your Course Leader area.
   » Provide high quality and effective planning and delivery across the course team.
   » Deliver and assess essential knowledge and knowledge to learners ensuring prosperous results.
   » Carry out internal verification/moderation.
   » Help to ensure all team members maintain and update knowledge of the subject and / or vocational area.
About You
   » Hold a minimum ofa Level 3 or specialist qualification in Electrical Installation.
   » Hold18th Edition qualifications.
   » Holda L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. CertEd, PGCE).
   » significant practice, knowledge and expertise to enable delivery of a range of levels across the curriculum, which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
   » Knowledge and industry practice within the curriculum area.
   » Previous practice of managingstudent and group progression, providing advice and guidance in a learning environment.
   » practice developing creative learning materials for groups of learners.
   » capability to plan and deliver quality teaching.
