Job Offer: Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molecular Biophysics:Job description:Job location: Oxford About the function We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the lab of Dr Michael Ranes with skills in super-resolution imaging methods to complement our research in knowledge the molecular mechanisms driving the Wnt signalling pathways at the single-molecule level. The lab undertakes a multidisciplinary approach spanning biochemistry/biophysics, cell biology and structural biology to address our research questions. The lab provides an inclusive environment to empower lab members to express themselves, propose novel ideas and give actionable feedback. In addition, lab members will be provided with the guidance and tools to maximise their potential to advance in both their professional and personal development. This full-time fixed-term post is funded by the Wellcome Trust for up to 3 years in the first instance. The actual starting income offered will be located on qualifications and significant skills acquired and will also be determined by the funding available. About you You will hold a PhD/DPhil or be near completion of a PhD/DPhil in cell biology, biophysics or a related discipline and have the capability to design and implement experiments and to demonstrate initiative in developing, improving, and troubleshooting experimental methods. You will have practice in super-resolution imaging techniques and connected data-analysis methods, together with demonstrable organisational skills with the capability to effectively and efficiently prioritise and multi-task lab tasks. Excellent oral and written communications skills are expected as well as having a proven track record of producing high quality data leading to peer-reviewed publications.
