Specific Purpose Whole-time Post(anticipated duration 3 years)
UCC wishes to appoint an practiced academic to the above function in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Department of Sociology and Criminology seeks candidates who, can contribute to teaching in the Sociology of Gender, Migration and Ethnicity, Feminist Social Theory and/or Creative Methodologies, as well as contributing to teaching which supports and expands existing specialisations within the Department. The prosperous candidate will contribute to teaching and research supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research and publication that will enhance the University's international profile.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar income Scale: €38,662 - €67,426 (Scale B) / €40,689 - €64,159 (Scale A)
income placement on appointment will be in conformity with public sector pay policy.
