This appointment represents an exciting new development by the University to build on current research into soil greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes. This post will support a project that will field test an app, located on AI, to identify fertiliser regimes for crops that minimize GHG emission. This is a multi-partner project with Mutus Tech, University of Sheffield and Velcourt allowing the prosperous candidate to gain practice of working in a multi-stake holder environment.
appropriate candidates will hold a BSc (Hons) in soil science, agriculture, or environmental science. A related MSc and existing expertise of, or a strong interest in, soil GHG fluxes and the sustaincapability of crop production will be an advantage. However, training will be given as required. The prosperous candidate will be working within an academic group including a range of research areas. As such, the candidate will gain expertise in laboratory and field work as well as learning to be able to work within a diverse team.
