Offer: Lecturer or Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering:Job description:Job location: Southampton Interview Date: To be confirmed The University of Southampton welcomes applications for a position in Chemical Engineering at Lecturer or Associate Professor level. We are particularly interested in candidates with a major focus on the application of computational tools, who may or may not combine that focus with practical work. Research areas of interest include: » Data driven tools in chemical engineering for industry 4.0. » Digital twin for process optimisation, control, and integration. » Artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to chemical engineering. » Process systems engineering for sustainable chemical manufacturing. » Applications of modelling and data analytics in healthcare, energy, and food sectors. About the function You will build/maintain an internationally recognised independent research programme. You will contribute to the School in a leadership abilities, research, enterprise and educational capacity. Chemical Engineering programmes have been launched in Southampton from the School of Chemistry and we are developing a highly integrated research environment between the two disciplines. » A collaborative and enterprising culture across the School and University. » Free access to sector-leading high performance computing (Iridis 6 25,000 AMD cores from 2024; Iridis 5 will run alongside) and a university commitment to maintain that sector-leading position (Iridis 7 is in planning).
