Health & Safety Technical agent:Job description:Job location: Bath Grade Grade 5 Contract Type Part Time, Open Ended Interview date To be confirmed We have a great opportunity in the University's Safety, Health and Employee Wellbeing service for someone who would like to develop a career in health and safety. The Technical agent is a dual technical and administrative function that plays a crucial part in helping us deliver a great service to colleagues across the university. You'll be a key contact for our employee wellbeing networks and the function will involve organising events and communicating with a range of stakeholders to support us to ensure that the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and students remains a key priority for the University. You will be responsible for providing initial frontline support to members of the university. This could include: » Providing direct advice or guidance » Helping people with workplace assessments and investigating incidents » Signposting people to other members of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing team. Alongside this, you will provide administrative support to ensure we provide an effective and efficient service. This will include managing our web pages, helping to organise key activities, and handling all team purchases. About you We are seeking for someone who enjoys working with other people and is interested to make a difference. You may have a health and safety qualification, but if not, you will have a genuine interest in this area and be willing to gain one, and to also attend other significant training as necessary. You will also get support from the rest of team as you develop your expertise and expertise. Whilst qualifications are valuable, much more importantly, you should be enthusiastic and flexible in your approach to work. You will be a great communicator with the confidence and availability to work with colleagues from across our community, and to put your learning into practice in a busy work environment. You will be expected to: » Manage your own workload » Show initiative and to work autonomously where appropriate. » Prioritise your workload to ensure key deadlines and objectives are met. this function is integral to the work we do as a team and excellent organisational and administrative expertise are essential to support team members to deliver their functions. more information This is a part-time function, working 30 hours per week.
