The Department of Physics at the University of Bath is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (adjunct Professor) in Experimental Photonics.
Applications in all areas of existing strength within Experimental Photonics are invited; those in the area of overlap between photonics and bio/nano-science, or in the areas of optical fibre technology and/or ultrafast lasers are particularly welcome.
The Lecturer will contribute to and expand the capabilities of the department in this research area, and be a full member of the Department.
About the function:
You will become a part of the vibrant community of researchers in optics and photonics within the Department.
Research programmes revolve around collaboration, shared equipment and facilities, and shared learning, streamlining the process of getting new research programmes off the ground.
The function is to establish an independent research activity, in an area aligned with both University and funder priorities.
Experimental Photonics is already an important element of several existing programmes but this position will broaden that interest.
The Lecturer will contribute to and expand the capabilities of the department in this research area, and be a full member of the Department.
