ABOUT THE function This is a fixed term post until31stMay2025 working full-time. The Student practice and Information adjunct will work within the Faculty Education and Student practice Team in partnership with academic staff, to deliver the highest levels of excellence in professional support. The post holder is responsible for ensuring they work in conformity with all University policies and procedures, governance and constitutional frameworks, seeking guidance from team leaders/managers where appropriate. The service is both reactive to student queries, and proactive to provide information all over each academic year. Advice needs to be highly accurate so knowledge academic rules, guidance and processes is important. Sensitivity, empathy, knowledge of differing student needs and strong communication and interpersonal expertise and a clear knowledge of professional boundaries are essential for this function. The function may involve gaining/having specialist knowledge of particular programme areas within the Faculty. Student practice and Information teams will work closely with colleagues in front of house/reception functions and will be expected to work in front facing student offices and receptions as well as providing support and information online, via email and phone/chat. this function will suit candidates who would enjoy carrying out a range of administrative tasks and enabling support within the Faculty whilst also working with student representatives, student societies and academic staff to maximise student practice.
