We are now looking for a Health and Safety Advisor, to join our team on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term secondment basis, working 37 hours per week.

- THE function -
The post holder will help deliver the University's health and safety management system playing a prominent function in generating and promoting a positive safety culture across all University structures.
Key deliverables within the function will include supporting the implementation of safety related policies, the delivery of the internal training plans and supporting accident / incident investigations.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Health and Safety Advisor, you will need:
   » Hold a Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Manging Safely, Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent)
   » practice of applying organisational / legal safety policies / requirements
   » Able to critically assess and present / report on data
It would also be beneficial if you had:
   » Previous practice of design and implementation of training presentations / courses
   » Previous practice of auditing against defined standards.
   » capability to communicate through the medium of Welsh - oral and written
