Offer: Tissue Bank Technician:Job description:Job location: Southampton Job location: Southampton General Hospital Fixed Term: 24 Months This is an opportunity to join the University of Southampton Faculty of Medicine Tissue Bank supporting cancer research. located in a very well-equipped laboratory on the University Hospital Southampton site, you will be part of a team assisting in the efficient collection, preparation, storage and release of human biological materials to research laboratories. Training is provided. You must be educated to GCSE, AS and A Level /NVQ 3/4 level or equivalent. You must have proven bench work practice in a appropriate biological field and have the capability to follow the instructions described in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to comply with Human Tissue Authority (HTA), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) regulations. The post is funded as a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 2 years. A standard Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
