The School of Computer Science and Informatics is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to provide comprehensive administrative support to the School's Student Services team, which encompasses the areas of education and students, placements and student practice. The School's industry connections play a crucial function in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, career events and academic research. The post-holders will have an consciousness and support industry and externally facing activities central to the School's mission. The prosperous candidate will work closely with academic and professional service colleagues within the School to create and streamline processes and enhance the student and staff practice. The function holders will be computer literate, have excellent problem-solving expertise and an capability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. The function holders will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams and be involved in activities across the whole of the undergraduate and postgraduate taught student journey all over the School, including the National Software Academy and the Data Science Academy and will often be the first point of contact for student queries. The function holders will play a part in all student centred processes - from enrolment to supporting placement and student practice events, through to end of year results processing.

The Student Services Administrator will work closely with the Student Services agent and other team leads across the Student Services Team, working on a series of projects and tasks across the breadth of student services with a particular focus on improving the student practice across the School's UG and PGT programmes. The post holder will provide support where there are peaks of activity, such as induction and module selection and end of year results processing. In order to effectively carry out the function, the post holder will be proactive, enjoy working both independently and as a team and possess excellent communication and organisational expertise.

You should be enthusiastic about developing your expertise and expertise to become a valued member of the team.

this function is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spendingtime working on campus you can also choose to spend some timeworking from another location, e.g. your home. This position is part time (17.5 hours per week), open ended and available immediately.

income:£26,444 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked (Grade 4), with 4 annual increments up to £29,605 per annum, pro-rata (final income at top of grade).
