income: The starting income for adjunct will be from £32,332 on Grade E. The starting income for Associate will be from £32,982 on Grade E, depending on qualifications and practice.

The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit either a Graduate Research adjunct or Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Dr Martin Eichmann. This Helmsley Charitable Trust funded post is available from 3 June 2024 to 31 August 2025. The prosperous applicant will be isolating and characterising beta-cell-reactive T cell receptors to identify those with potential to be used for therapeutic application in beta cell disorders.
The post will include:
   » Determining sequencies of human beta-cell-reactive T cell receptors (using single cell RNAsequencing).
   » Expressing and characterising identified human beta-cell-reactive T cell receptors (using lentiviral electroporation methods, and cell-located assays).
About you
The prosperous applicant will be able to present information on research progress and results, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.
candidates for the Postdoctoral Research Associate function will possess a significant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/practice in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. candidates will be able to culture human cell lines, generate lentiviral products and employ standard immunological assay (including flow cytometry); and have a good knowledge of immunology and/or beta cell disorders.
candidates for the Graduate Research adjunct function will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/practice in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. candidates will be able to culture human cell lines, generate lentiviral products and employ standard immunological assay (including flow cytometry); and have a good knowledge of immunology and/or beta cell disorders.
