Job Offer: Clinical Fellow in Counselling and Psychotherapy:Job description:Job location: Edinburgh Open ended: Permanent 2 x 1.0FTE (35 hours per week), 1x 0.6FTE (21 hours per week) The opportunity: A unique opportunity for practiced counsellors/psychotherapists looking for a varied function including clinical management, clinical practice, placement support, core teaching and research. You will be part of the clinical management team at Hope Park Counselling Centre, a vibrant counselling centre contributing everyday to delivering the service, supporting both the development of Hope Park and students on placement.This post is for a qualified practiced practitioner who is committed to the dialogue between psychodynamic perspectives and the person-centred approach which is Edinburgh's core orientation. Teaching, academic assessment and Masters dissertation supervision will provide opportunities to develop teaching practice in addition to clinical lead skills. The post-holder will also make a contribution to the strategic development of scholarship, research, expertise exchange and impact withinCounselling, Psychotherapy and Applied Social Sciences, the wider School and the University.See Job Description below for more detail. These three new posts have been created to increase staffing for HPCC. You will provide clinical cover during the centre's operational times including daytime and evenings. You will be required to be on campus during your designated working hours which will include a minimum of one evening per week. We are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. Your skills and attributes for success: » Postgraduate qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, at Masters or Doctorate levelholding professional accreditation with a significant Counselling and Psychotherapy professional body (COSCA, BACP, UKCP or equivalent) or eligibility to apply for accreditation » practice practicing as a counsellor/psychotherapist » skills as a practitioner in a range of counselling services and sectors » practice of delivering professional education in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy including the capability to design and deliver course materials and assess student performance in both academic assignments and counselling skills/practice development » practice of supporting students on placement at a placement agency » capability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team as well as able to take responsibility for organising your own activities and for the management of allocated resources Skills:
