Job Offer: Lecturer in Maths - RC:Job description:Job location: Rotherham Location; Rotherham College, Rotherham About the function Within RNN Group, Maths and English skills are in high demand and in this function, you can influence and contribute towards the College's provision in this key area. You will have the opportunity not only to impart your expertise and skills to our learners, but ultimately will make an impact on the wider community. In this function you will be delivering on A Level, GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Numeracy to full time students and adults. You will work in our well-equipped onsite classrooms and online though our virtual learning environment, using Google Classroom. The function of lecturer is to equip our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential. this function offers you the opportunity to do this every day. It is the job satisfaction that comes from this that makes a teaching function special. You will? As a Maths Lecturer you will play an important function in developing creative resources to inspire outstanding learning and will be responsible for the monitoring and tracking of learner progress to promote positive results for learners. You should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives. You will hold at least A Level (or equivalent) qualification in Maths or above and either have, or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. Ideally, you will have a degree qualification in a chosen subject. You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical and digital which will engage your learners and provide them with the best skills, expertise and behaviours for the future. Department Info Your line manager will be the Deputy Manager for English and Maths. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your Maths and English Lead regarding a range of KPI's including (but not limited to) student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality. You will be part of a Curriculum and Department team and will work with other teaching staff to develop and share good practice in the area. You may also be required to participate in cross college teams or working groups on key projects.
