Oldham College is a medium sized general further education college, with a turnover of almost £25m. It has one main campus in the centre of town, and this is in the third phase of a £40m redevelopment which began in 2012. Higher education is taught on a second, dedicated campus, a short walk away. The College delivers a full range of work-related education and training, including 16-18 programmes of study, T levels, apprenticeships, adult learning and higher education. It has over 5000 full-time students and 600 undergraduates. The College is in the top quartile for 16-18 programmes of study and English GCSE resits, and in apprenticeship provision, but is the second highest performing provider Greater Manchester. The quality of its higher education provision is better than many established universities. We have a great partnership the British Esports Federation amongst others, with aspirations to be a market lead in this field. This partnership offers truly once in a lifetime practices from international work placements to recreational and professional competition. Specifically, We are pursuing an individual with the capcapability of leading and inspiring the next generation of Esports talent through your planning and delivery of the level 2 and 3 Esports curriculum. Primarily, you will be tasked with leading and growing a brand-new college provision starting with BTEC Level 2 and 3, whilst supporting the future development of an HNC, HND and Degree Top Up option to ensure a market lead provision. In addition to this, you will also provide pastoral care to a minimum of 2 cohorts of learners. Within these pastoral care responsibilities, you will be required to form strong working relationships with learners and parents alike driving good attendance to all components of our study programmes in the pursuit of outstanding learner results. The function will require you to embed and work to the college's values; working with Integrity, having Ambition to help our learners succeed and being Inclusive to learners and colleagues alike.
