An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the Norwich Medical Schoolto execute bioinformatics for paediatric bone and muscle tumour studies funded by Children with Cancer UK.

As a Senior Research Associate you will be connected with a particular project and will contribute ideas and/or enhancement of techniques or methodologies. You will analyse and interpret data, write up results and present information on research progress and results. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to grant applications and may be involved in the supervision of researchers and teaching of students within the School.
You will have a PhD in bioinformatics or computational biology plus practice in the significant research area. You will also have practice of independentresearch, have publications in respected journals or equivalentwithin the field and be able to work in a proactive and results driven manner in a high paced environment. You will also have stronginterpersonaland communicationexpertise, with the capability to analyse and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team. Advanced expertise directlyrelating to this research area and practiceteaching small classes and/or superviseing practiceswouldbe advantageous.

This full-time post is available from 1 September 2024 on a fixed-term basis for 7 months.
