Job Offer: Research Fellow in Offshore Renewable Energy (Computational Geosciences): Intelligent &am:Job description:Job location: Southampton Job location: Boldrewood Campus Fixed Term: Until 31/08/2025 We seek to recruit a future-looking visionary early career researcher with strong interests in the oceans and the desire and capability to work across the geosciences. Applications are sought from geotechnical engineers and geophysicists to carry out research covering the fundamental relationships between geophysical and geotechnical properties of geomaterials, and the development of methods to integrate geophysical and geotechnical site investigation data to derive synthetic geotechnical parameters and inform on requirements for geophysical investigation. We seek candidates with geotechnical engineering practice, geophysical data analysis and machine learning expertise. The Research Fellow in Intelligent & Resilient Ocean Engineering - Geoscience will join a large community of scholars at Southampton working across the marine and maritime space. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early career researcher with a drive to address key marine or maritime challenges. The prosperous applicant will be located at the new National Infrastructure Laboratory on the University's Boldrewood Innovation Campus, working within the Centre of Excellence for Intelligent & Resilient Ocean Engineering.
