Lectureship/Readership in Probcapability and Stochastic Analysis:Job description:Job location: Edinburgh Lectureship - Grade UE08 £48,350 - £59,421 per annum Readership - Grade UE09 £61,198 - £75,498 per annum Full time: 35 hours per week Open-ended post: permanent The Opportunity: The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint to a lectureship in Probcapability and Stochastic Analysis Mathematics (equivalent to adjunct Professor) to start in September 2024 or later by agreement. Very strong and practiced candidates may be appointed to a Readership (equivalent to Associate Professor). The field of Probcapability and Stochastic Analysis is understood in a broad sense. Those pursuing interdisciplinary research with links to other fields, for instance, Computing, Engineering, Finance, Physics, or links to industry are also encouraged to apply. In addition to carrying out high-quality research, the prosperous candidate will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate courses and the teaching and further development of our prosperous MSc programmes in Mathematical Finance. The School has particular strengths in stochastic analysis, applied probcapability, mathematical finance, machine learning, and computational modelling, with a wide variety of interests across all aspects of probcapability. This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
