The opportunity:
You willcontribute to teaching and supervision in International Relations at pre-honours, honours and postgraduate level. To present and develop an emerging research profile in International Relations and significant subfields thereof with demonstrable potential for excellence and to contribute to the activities of the International Relations Research Group.
Applications from candidates with research and teaching interests in international security (broadly defined) are particularly welcome.
This post is fixed term for 36 months from September 2024.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your expertise and attributes for success:
   » A PhD in International Relations, Politics, a significant social sciences discipline or a significant interdisciplinary area;
   » Evidence of attainments in teaching, appropriate to career stage, also indicative of commitment to, and potential for, excellence in teaching, including capability to develop courses/programmes inInternational Relationsat undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and online and distance learning, and to promote outstanding student practice;
   » Evidence of investigative research and publication activities (including published research in peer-reviewed journals), appropriate to career stage, meeting standards of international excellence in terms of quality, significance and rigour;
   » Evidence of a clear commitment to Subject Area or School-level administrative tasks appropriate to career stage.
