Position: Transportation Coordinator/Staff Life Support Job location: YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth, Beausoleil Island Start Date: June 22, 2024 End Date: August 23, 2024 income: $550/week As part of your total compensation: • Receive a 1-year complimentary YMCA membership to our Health & Fitness facilities, and discounts on YMCA child care and camp programs • Be part of a caring and supportive network of people to help each other succeed • Complimentary access to wellness and counselling services In this function, you will: • Be responsible for all CQE's transportation needs including coordinating drive schedules for association cars, trailer and boats. • Coordinate transportation during changeovers for boat, drive, and bus schedules and confirming changeover buses are booked one week in advance. • Keep updated maintenance and logs for all CQE association vehicles. • Spend a large amount of time driving for camp and may be required to drive at night, on longer drives, and pull a trailer. • Be required to drive staff on time off to and from camp and to desired destinations in the Simcoe/Muskoka area when available. • Create a safe and fun staff atmosphere through coordinating events and delivering CQE services. This includes collaborating with the program team to organize regular staff events in the evenings and during changeovers when staff are permitted to stay onsite. • Be committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and building a sense of belonging • Embrace and exemplify the Y's core values Other Job Details: • This is a seasonal position and the prosperous candidate is required to live on site at YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth for the duration of their contract in rustic accommodations. Education and expertise Qualifications: • G Class License • Pleasure Craft Operator Card • SVOP Commercial Boating License/OCA Marine Module (or the capability to obtain) • Standard First Aid, CPR C, Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check • Minimum of two previous seasons working in a waterfront camp environment or equivalent is considered an asset. • Organization and leadership abilities expertise • Legally entitled to work in Canada To Apply: • Submit your cover letter, resume, and supporting documents via this application.
