As we continue to grow, we have a need for the following position: Position: Overnight Camp Staff Start Date: Varied from beginning of May - end of June. *Click here to see Employment Opportunities Guide for more details Qualifications & practice: • National Lifeguarding • Current Standard First Aid and CPR • Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers. • Preferred candidates: Fun and responsible individuals looking to focus on the needs of campers. practice working with youth in a camp or outdoor education environment • It is a YMCA of Southwestern Ontario requirement that all employees and volunteers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exemptions will be granted upon receipt of acceptable proof of a permissible Human Rights Code ground Compensation/Benefits: • Salaries for each position are listed in the Employment Opportunities Guide • A YMCA individual membership at our health and fitness branches • Vacation entitlement in conformity with the employment standards regulations Schedule: These positions are seasonal contracts and the prosperous candidates are required to live on site in camp accommodations for the duration of their contracts. Time off will be scheduled each session located on site location as noted below. Staff are required to provide their own transportation to and from camp. YMCA Camp Henry is a seasonal summer camp and outdoor center located in Point Pelee National Park near Leamington, Ontario. The prosperous candidate is required to live on site at Camp Henry in rustic accommodations. This position will be expected to work Sunday afternoon until Friday evening each week and will live on site during this time. Staff are required to provide their own transportation to and from camp. Food service staff may have the option to live off site.
