Senior Technician: Education (3 functions):Job description:Job location: Sheffield The School of Biosciences is looking to recruit three talented technicians who will strengthen our skill base in the support of practical teaching in the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Laboratories. The breadth of activity in the School includes fieldwork, plant biology, ecology, cell biology, developmental biology, neuroscience, genetics, biochemistry and microbiology. We are pursuing individuals with specialisms in one of the three areas of a) Molecular Biology b) Biomedical Science or c) Organisms and Environment, to work with our team leader, the Technical Specialist: Education, to ensure excellent teaching support in semester, and strong teaching development activity and training out of semester. The prosperous candidates will supervise a small team for everyday activities, working towards a strategy of a multidisciplinary team that fulfils the needs of the whole school, cultivating individual specialism and talent. The positions may be full or part time, making a total of 2.7 FTE, depending on the applications received. We're one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK.
