income: $113,414 (Starting) to $ 151,218 (at 30 Months)
Hybrid Remote Options:
The LPS is currently operating under a Pilot Remote Work Procedure. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement following prosperous completion of training.

Position Summary:
The Manager, Human Resources reports directly to the Senior Director, Human Resources and works cooperatively and collaboratively across the organization in conformity with divisional and organizational goals. Providing leadership abilities, direction, guidance, and oversight into a wide variety of people related matters including, but not limited to compensation; health and safety; civilian recruitment and organizational development. The Manager, Human Resources is also responsible to lead the implementation of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) System as the subject matter expert. The Manager, Human Resources will also act on behalf of the Senior Director, Human Resources as required.

Responsibilities:
   » supervise the civilian recruitment and selection for all internal and external positions within the London Police Service (LPS).
   » Ensure all selection procedures are followed and that all recruitment takes place in a fair and unbiased manner.
   » Represent the LPS as an Employer of Choice at job fairs and with community partners for recruitment outreach purposes.
   » Work with the London Police Association to mitigate/resolve issues as required.
   » Lead the complex multi-year HCM (HRIS) implementation project as the subject matter expert.
   » Co-Chair the Joint Job Evaluation Committee (JJEC) and ensure compliance and maintenance with Pay Equity.
   » Participate in and provide skills on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and Procedure review committees.
   » Collaborate with the Senior Director, HRD on the development of leadership abilities programming, talent development/segmentation, professional development opportunities, mentorship program.
   » supervise and enhance the new hire onboarding program.
   » Supervise, coordinate, advise, coach, and evaluate Human Resources Coordinators and Generalists
   » Act on behalf of the Sr. Director, HRD in their absence including providing guidance and support across the Human Resources Division acting as a level of escalation for all challenging situations.
   » Other tasks as assigned within the core competencies.
General Requirements:
   » 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
   » CHRP or CHRL designation.
   » 5-7 years wide-ranging HR practice, including leadership abilities of direct reports.
   » Previous practice with HCM (HRIS) Implementation Project is an asset.
   » Excellent critical thinking skills and judgement needed for analysis and developing or recommending solutions to problems of a complex nature; and where work is often non- routine and follows only generally established procedures with an opportunity for non- standardized solutions.
   » Excellent communication skills to give, obtain, and/or exchange, and/or discuss technical information or decisions requiring discussion or explanation to ensure full knowledge, with tact, self-control, and persuasiveness.
