The post holder will be required to develop the expertise to be an NMC assessor and both teach and support students in their academic and practice modules. In addition, the post holder will assist in student recruitment, maintain and establish new practice learning opportunities and support students as a personal tutor.

About you
You must be an enthusiastic, innovative graduate mental health nurse with current mental health NMC registration. You will have at least one year post registration practice and be able to demonstrate practice in supporting students within a clinical and/or educational setting. You will be conversant with the NMC future standards and be competent in being able to teach those expertise as required by the NMC proficiencies.
You will be able to demonstrate the capability to meet deadlines and lead and manage work delegated to you as well as develop the expertise to plan and deliver academic modules and undertake marking and moderation connected with these. You will be highly motivated to assist students to achieve particularly those experiencing academic and personal vulnerabilities. You will display excellent communication expertise which will enable you to confidently network with new and existing partners of the course program and university.
Qualifications
Essential;
   » Degree qualification or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
   » significant professional qualification - Current NMC registration
   » Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or availability to obtain within an agreed timescale
Desirable;
   » Master's degree in significant subject
   » Doctorate in significant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
