The Faculty of Media and Communication at Bournemouth University is one of the largest of its kind in the world and has a global reputation for combining research and teaching practice. The Faculty has an enviable reputation for media production and has developed a popular and prosperous suite of media production programmes at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
We are seeking for an enthusiastic technical Demonstrator in Post Production to join a dynamic and highly qualified team. The prosperous applicant will have excellent communication expertise, a real interest in teaching and learning as well as a thorough expertise of the key technologies that underpin post.
Key to the function is the capability to teach the use, to current professional standards, of video post-production software and systems, including appropriate and current workflows for film and television. You will be able to teach students the underlying technical principles of post-production, such as but not limited to codecs and compression. You will ideally bring professional practice to the function, enriching the students' expertise beyond that which can be found in online and printed instruction. expertise of AVID Media Composer is desirable as well as being able to teach Adobe Premiere, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. We are seeking for a self-motivated problem solver with a availability to further develop their expertise to support the evolution of the field.
