Job Opportunity: Lecturer (Teaching) in Film Production 0.5FTE:Job description:Job location: London The Department of Culture, Communication and Media (CCM) is a department of IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. It is committed to excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the areas of: Media and Cultural Studies, Art, Design and Museology; Academic writing; English suitable education Applied Linguistics; Music Education; Multimodality studies; Learning with Digital Technologies. You will play an important function in the detailed preparation for and delivery of the BA Media. It will also contribute an important specialism to the range of skills required by the programme. In addition to teaching at undergraduate level, the post-holder will contribute to Masters and PhD programmes in media, and to research, expertise exchange and consultancy activities in ReMAP, the expertise Lab, and eventually the SCCI at UCL East. The post-holder will also play an important function in the development of the new UCL Media Network, generating collaborative approaches to teaching, research and intellectual endeavor across the three faculties. The postholder will also contribute to planning and delivery of workshops for schools and communities in East London as part of UCL East's Widening Participation programme. You will have a PhD (completed or close to completion) or comparable industry practice in filmmaking and sound expertise of key concepts, debates and challenges in the filmmaking process. practice of teaching in different context and learning environments, including practical studio delivery is desirable.
