The function:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Caring Professions, for a Programme Leader for the Health and Social Care Department. The prosperous candidate will lead a teaching team which supports, 16-19 study programmes (including T Levels), adult full time and part time courses. You will be involved in designing and delivering a curriculum that is located on the ever-changing needs of the health and social care sector; and that develops the right expertise, expertise and behaviours of our learners, enabling them to achieve a career or higher education in their chosen field. You will also engage with local employers to support with continued curriculum development and work practice / placement opportunities.
If you are passionate about sharing your expertise and expertise, developing and leading a team of outstanding Programme Tutors, and have a strong track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities within a career focussed curriculum, then this is the ideal job for you!
You will need to be organised, innovative, a strong performance manager and have the drive to further grow our links with key employers.
You should hold a significant degree and a teaching qualification, as well as lead quality assurance practice.
prosperous candidates must have significant health, or social care, industry practice within the last 10 years. This is a full-time permanent position working 37 hours per week, which will include a teaching commitment of up to 12 hours per week.
