Chief Information Security agent:Job description:Job location: Bath Full Time Fixed Term Contract for 12 months Job Description We are pursuing an practiced Chief Information Security agent (CISO) for an exciting interim function to support Bath Spa University in further developing our cyber security services, processes and policies. We are an practiced, professional and highly collaborative team with a track record of effective senior team engagement and service delivery. (This is a fixed term 12-month contract) About the function As Chief Information Security agent you will be responsible for superviseing a range of technical and process security controls, leading a programme of continuous improvement in response to changing security threats and risk. You will support the development of our technology roadmap, implement our BYOD Policy, onboard an MDR solution, and review/update our information security policies and procedures. You'll also be instrumental in ensuring PCI DSS compliance (partial site), renewing CE+, engaging cyber insurance, and collaborating closely with Legal, IT, and procurement on due diligence for new systems and services. As Chief Information Security agent (CISO) you will provide a clear vision and direction for the University's cyber security operations, promoting continuous improvement, innovation and agility in service delivery, working in consultation and collaboration with colleagues across the University. About You You will be an practiced Senior Cyber Security professional blending skills with the capability to prosperously engage stakeholders from all areas of the business and collaborate effectively with our technical teams to deliver solutions that combine business need with cyber security requirements. You will bring a blend of the strategic and the practical, refining organisational policies and processes on the one hand and undertaking due diligence for new products and services on the other. You will be able to build excellent working relationships with both colleagues and internal and external stakeholders, be highly motivated, proactive and work well under pressure whilst managing conflicting priorities.
