Offer: Lecturer - Primary Education:Job description:Job location: Plymouth Who we're looking for: We are seeking for a Lecturer in Primary Education with a background in English to join the Marjon team predominantly working on primary undergraduate and postgraduate routes into teaching. We would be particularly interested in those that could offer the following: » ITT background in English across the primary phase. » Knowledge and knowledge of the professional issues in becoming a teacher. » Up to date knowledge and knowledge of how children learn. » practice in pastoral support of ITT trainees. What you'd be doing: You will have significant recent practice of teaching in schools and/or in a teacher educator function in a university or School led system. You will hold QTS, with the capability to teach on a variety of primary modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have a considerable amount of interaction with schools, trainees, tutorial input and wider contribution to the activities within the significant programmes and the school. The function will involve contribution to recruitment events. Marjon academics are strongly engaged in research or knowledge exchange activities and those entering the team would be expected to contribute to this area of work. You'll need to enjoy: Collaborating with others, leading small groups, thinking creatively, communicating with others (in person, over the phone or by email), engaging with technology, providing excellent trainee support and quickly building rapport with colleagues/students. Where you'll work: In this function, you'll be located in the Marjon Teacher Education Partnership team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. Our current hybrid working policy means you can work in the house or on campus, but you will need to maintain strong campus links and be available on-site when needed.
