Full time function and hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days in our London office. We are committed to supporting flexible working arrangements.
The Health Foundationis an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.Our aim is a healthier population, supported by high quality health care that can be equitably accessed.
One of the ways we do this is by managing research grants and running commissions (involving academics, front line staff, policy makers and think tanks). The Research team lead and co-produce high quality research commissions, using our skills in research policy, design and management. We also lead on synthesising and mobilising knowledge from our funded research and evaluation to maximise learning and impact. We are responsible for a varied portfolio and provide expert support across the Foundation, working with colleagues to scope and design research and evaluation, ensure effective contracting and establish good governance arrangements.
We are a supportive and inclusive team looking to appoint someone who enjoys working with others and is able to collaborate effectively in progressing the Research team's aims and objectives in support of the Health Foundation strategy. You will bring knowledge of the health and social care system, expert knowledge of the design and management of research and evaluation, along with practice of contract management and negotiation and influencing skills. An capability to involve and include a range of people is essential, as is the capability to build strong and productive relationships.
Whilst Research Managers are expected to work across the Foundation's portfolio of research and evaluation activity, this function will also provide specific support to progress the portfolio within the radical innovation and improvement in health and care services priority, one of the Foundation's 3 strategic priorities . Therefore, skills and interest in significant fields, such as digital healthcare, AI or adoption of innovation would be welcome.
