Senior Administrative agent:Job description:Job location: southampton University Interview Date: To be confirmed Student Administration and Academic Affairs are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and practiced administrator to join the Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences as a Senior Administrative agent in the Administration and Assessment Team. The post is available on a permanent full-time basis. The Administration and Assessment Teams act as a first point of contact for educational matters and support aspects of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught student lifecycle from induction through to graduation, including maintenance of student records and support for all assessment related processes. You will work closely with the Team Leader, the Deputy Head of School (Education), the Directors of Programmes and other key academic staff, as well as colleagues across Student Administration and Academic Affairs and the wider University to ensure effective and professional support for all aspects of the team's activities. Major elements of the posts will be to manage the day-to-day operational support to students and staff in the School of Electronics & Computer Science. Applying a detailed expertise of systems, processes and regulatory frameworks, you will provide accurate and timely advice in response to student and academic enquiries. The function involves the accurate maintenance of student records across multiple systems and the capability to analyse, manipulate and interpret student data. The post is also responsible for the line management and supervision of Administrative agent team members. You will be an excellent team player with a proven capability to work proactively and a strong attention to detail. You will be able to plan and prioritise your own short- and medium-term work activities and use your initiative and judgement to resolve problems. Excellent communication, organisational and inter-personal expertise are required, as is a commitment to providing an excellent service. You will have the capability to adapt to change quickly, maintaining receptiveness to new ideas and approaches and take an active function in identifying potential improvements in existing processes.
