Job Opportunity: Lecturer in History:Job description:Job location: Dalkeith 0.25 FTE,Fixed Term: August 2024 to June 2025 We are actively seeking an outstanding Lecturer in History (0.25 FTE) to become a valued member of our close-knit, highly skilled team. Newbattle Abbey College has a proud track record of meeting the needs of adults and young people at points of transition, helping them to change their lives for the better. Nestled within an 12th-century Cistercian monastery, our 125-acre parkland and woodland setting creates a college environment like no other. Our dedicated team offers the very best student practice and the college consistently reports very high levels of student satisfaction. The Lecturer in History will initially be responsible for teaching on our access programs, including the Scottish Widening Access Program, and the Associate Degree in Social Sciences. this function will encompass teaching across various disciplines within the social sciences. Newbattle Abbey College attracts a high proportion of students who have practiced disadvantage, including a high proportion of students with disabilities and care-practice. We are pursuing Lecturers who possesses a deep sensitivity to the unique needs of our students and have a proven track record of supporting those facing challenges in their pursuit of academic success.
